We work with communities from different locales and of different demographics, using various arts and creative processes. By engaging people on social issues such as poverty, end-of-life, disability and race, we encourage social change. Our programmes enable local communities to realise, and tap on their own agency and imagination to create the change they want to see in society. We also provide training and thought leadership related to arts-based community development work.
Our collaborators include artists and creatives, community groups, VWOs, schools, hospitals, research and training institutions, cultural institutions, foundations, corporates and government bodies.
As a charity, we need your support to sustain our work. Your generous donation will help us to continue to:
- Produce innovative projects and programmes that demonstrate the power of arts to expand perspectives and change lives, such as M1 Peer Pleasure Youth Theatre Festival and Both Sides, Now
- Develop the capabilities of growing practitioners in the field of arts-based community development, through The Greenhouse Lab
- Provide opportunities for practitioners to learn from one another through The Greenhouse Sessions and Gatherings
- Build resources on the field of arts-based community development, like case studies and articles on powerful work by community-engaged practitioners and organisations on the ground
