ArtsWok Learning Forum develops the capability of practitioners to engage communities creatively and effectively. Launched in conjunction with our 10th anniversary, this signature triennial programme seeks to expand the arts-based community development (ACD) ecosystem in Singapore. It does this by building on ArtsWok’s decade-long work in nurturing our community of practice through our Greenhouse Sessions and Lab.
The inaugural edition of the Forum in 2024 gathered ACD practitioners from multiple disciplines who are keen on working through the arts in their community-engaged work. With a greater focus on community development outcomes, we see a pressing need to provide learning opportunities for community-engaged artists. We also recognise the growing interest from practitioners of related fields, such as community, health, and social work to incorporate arts and creative approaches into their work with communities.
Join us at future editions of the ArtsWok Learning Forum to:
- Explore the versatility of arts-based community development in panels, workshops, and group activities;
- Gain insights from artists and other community-engaged practitioners as they share their knowledge and experiences; and
- Contribute your thoughts towards the construction of new and shared knowledge through dialogue and facilitation.
